About Us
Sparrows Coffee is a Grand Rapids-based coffee brand that blends community engagement, artistic expression, and ethically sourced coffee to create a unique and inviting experience. Sparrows believes feeling and emotion are far more fundamental to what our drinkers are looking for. Some coffees take us down memory lane, with their nostalgic depth and warmth. Others center us, harmoniously balancing crisp, clean, and crushable flavors. Some can even evoke our adventurous spirit, transporting us to beautiful, far-off lands, imbued with a remarkable sense of place. We think there’s no better way to offer our coffees than something so fundamental as feeling, and we’re eager to provide our drinkers with craveable cups, no matter what their feel may be.
What makes up special:
Sourcing: We only offer coffees traceable to single producers or cooperatives, who we grow with and purchase from year after year.
Quality: Our Q graders cup and score every bean we buy. If it doesn’t make the cut, we won’t bring it in - regardless of the producer.
Feelings: With balance and sweetness as our baseline, we then sort our coffee based on what feelings the flavor nuances produce.
