As it has for many years now, “The Land of a Thousand Hills” continues to produce beautiful, sweet, fruited coffees harvest after harvest – and this year is no different. This coffee comes to us by way of the Kinunu washing station, nestled on the banks of Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s shared border with the DRC. 26,000 farmers contribute to this community lot, which is subsequently exported by Arise Rwanda, a nonprofit focused on education & development in Boneza.
In the cup, this coffee offers a classic Rwanda profile – sweet, soft and complex. Dark fruits such as plum and raisin jump out first, with brown sugar sweetness following, and crisp, floral notes to finish.
